Times Like These

Incredible moments of synchronicity… do you know them? My dear friend Judith once played me this song and it hit me like a rock. Imagine the setting; we were at Lake Kivu in Rwanda sitting between the palm trees, watching the local fishermen rowing their boats back home after a night fishing. We had one of those valuable ‘best friends conversations’ all throughout breakfast. About who we are and where we come from, what we want from life and what stops us. It was an emotional conversation. About being visible. About standing tall. About How to Be Who We Are.

And then she pressed play….

And its magnetic properties

When a women finds a man and they can be

And I believe that the spirit is reborn when we die
With no burden of the body
We’re free to fly
And I believe in the people standing tall
